Making films & creative spaces for storytelling.

Aaniin, Boozhoo – ‘Kira Doxtator’ nintishnikaaz.

For now, this is how I’ll introduce myself.

My family comes from places presently known as Bkejwanong First Nation, Sioux Valley Dakota Nation, and Oneida of the Thames. I was raised in Ottawa, on Algonquin Territory.

I came to the traditional territories of West Coast First Nations in 2017 to attend Pearson College on Vancouver Island, and then graduated 2024 from the University of British Columbia with a Bachelor of Arts in Cinema Studies and a minor in Indigenous Studies.

I am interested in the explorations of identity and lived experience. Through both creative production and community-driven initiative, it is my goal to develop skills and a creative practice, as well as to support artists and fellow filmmakers.

I currently serve as the youngest Board Member of the Aboriginal Peoples Television Network (APTN).

Gaining experience as an independent film producer means focusing on supporting thoughtful, well-executed productions that elevate Indigenous and underrepresented voices. It is my goal to continue this process while building a slate of work through the production company, Native Key Creative.

Collaboration and conversation are foundational to my practice, so please feel free to reach out or explore my work to learn more.
